Registered guests after 11 pm.

OK, this hotel is in a great location, but I find it hard to believe this is a four star hotel. First, the registered guest check-in after 10:30 pm is completely ridiculous. I could see checking your key or something quick, but there is an armed guard and a complete list of guests. You cannot even bring one person to your room! I have never seen anything like this. Then I rented a movie that did not work. I was surprised to see it on my bill, and called the front desk for what should have been a quick transaction. Instead, I was given the third degree about why I did not call when it happened (like I said it did not work.) No apology for anything. Finally, the rude woman took it off the bill, but did not even have the courtesy to let me know after I requested word of the outcome. Will not be staying here again. ...read more

This hotel is downtown and Airport is not near downtown.

Older oddly shaped rooms.

Very safe, beautiful lobby, easy parking and quick in and out access. Rooms very clean, large closets, oddly shaped smaller bed area.

The hotel was very nice as well as their staff. What I didn't like was that there was a fee to park and the one-way streets getting to and out of the hotel.

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Upon arrival, the staff members were very helpful, friendly, genuinely interested in making your Austin experience fun. The room service was speedy, and the food was good and hot. The room was renovated and featured a great view of the state capitol. For the money, it was the best bang for the buck compared to the Hilton by the Austin Convention Center, the Marriott Courtyard, and the Hilton Garden Inn. Its location was great. Location.

Noisy.

The hotel and room was fine. I misplaced my bank card and was only allowed to cash a 50.00 check. I never ask to cash checks however similar hotels cash 100-200 anytime I have needed cash. I was told it was a corp policy.
